The Cranmer Awards are open to receive participants for this year’s compeition.

The awards involve children up to the age of 19, who will recite a passage from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer on Novemeber 11.

The event takes place at St George’s Church in Douglas at 2pm, where entrants will read one or more passages that last three to five minutes long.

Trophies and prize money will be presented to winners and all entrants will be given a certificate.

The winners will go on to represent the island at the national finals in Worcester on February, 24, 2018.
