A grand day out, packed with events and entertainment will help celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Nivison Stadium in Onchan .

’The Party in the Park’ takes place on Saturday, June 12, and will be a community fun day with special events and activities, including kids games, stalls and shows.

The day will also feature live music and entertainment until late, beginning at 11.30am with the Onchan Silver Band.

Also appearing will be a display from the Onchan Entertainers at 1.30pm and the Southern Belles at 2pm.

Local groups 995 and Mae Challis and the Dirty legends will also perform from 3pm.

Stunt rider Steve Colley will give a display of motorbikes tricks and skills in the stadium, while the tennis courts area will host markets stalls and children’s activities.

There will also be the chance to enter a golden ticket treasure hunt, with the first prize being a passenger in Steve Colley’s rally car.

The day will come to a close with a firework display at 10.15pm.
