Residents are invited to a screening of Pan’s Labyrinth in its original language, Spanish, with empanadas and churros being served.
Conversa Foreign Language Tutorial, a new organisation that teaches a Spanish, French and English in the island, is hosting the upcoming event at the Studio Theatre at Ballakermeen High School.
The 2006 dark fantasy drama, which will have English subtitles, focuses on Ofelia the young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer in 1944 Francoist Spain.
It follows her story where she discovers an abandoned labyrinth and meets a mysterious faun who gives her three tasks to complete to gain immorality in a fantasy realm and save her pregnant mother.
The event takes place on Monday (May 13) from 6.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 to watch Guillermo del Toro’s drama with empanadas and churros included. Food will be served by La Costena Isle of Man, a Colombian and Latin American food service.
