An exhibition of photos by the renowned local photographer TH Midwood currently showing at Ramsey Town Hall is dedicated to the memory of his grandson, Derek Midwood, who died earlier this year.
For three quarters of a century, the social history of Ramsey and the northern parishes was captured by Midwood photographers.
The business based on South Promenade, next to the RNLI Station, was founded in 1880 by Thomas Horsfall Midwood and after his death in 1927 it was continued by his son Charles.
The current exhibition presents a wide sample of subjects including motorsport, shipping, tourism, fishing and Old Ramsey.
Derek Midwood was a popular Ramsey resident, a true gentleman, especially well-known as a boat owner and lifeboat supporter.
It is fitting that visitors to the exhibition are invited to make donations to Ramsey branch of the RNLI.
It is open from 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and continues until Friday, April 28.
