There were visitors both large and small to Castletown on Monday, when the last market of the summer was held in the ancient capital’s square.

For the larger visitors, there was the chance to browse through some of the artisan food, music and crafts stalls.

But for the smaller visitors, there was the chance to aquaint themselves with the Balley Cashtal Beg fairy trail that leads around the streets of Castletown.

Children were invited to follow a map and work out the riddles to find where the little fairy doors of Balley Cashtal Beg were hidden.

There was also the chance for children to decorate stones to leave around the town, which is intended to create a different type of ever-changing trail around the town.

There was also live music from Fraser and Callum Rowe, The Meraki choir and Briskee Brisht.
