Sulby Scarecrow Festival takes place during half-term at the end of next month.

This year’s festival, which is the village’s first in 15 years has a nursery rhyme theme and will take place between February 23 and 27.

Organisers hope the festival will be an even greater success than the one held in 2007, when more than 40 scarecrows were exhibited around the village.

If you don’t live in Sulby but want to get involved, your scarecrow can be exhibited in Sulby Methodist Church garden.

Please contact the church Facebook page or telephone 897364 to choose your nursery rhyme.

The festival will be based at the church where there will also be crafts, a raffle and refreshments.

l Sulby Methodist Church will be hosting a table-top sale this Saturday, January 15 between 10am and 2pm.

To book a space at the cost of £8, please message the church’s Facebook page or telephone 897364.

Refreshments will be available, while there will also be a stall selling homemade cake and marmalade.

l In two weeks’ time, on Saturday, January 29, the church is to host a coffee morning at Ramsey Town Hall from 10am.
