Crowds in Ramsey town centre were dazzled by a spectacle of lights and traditional music at the annual Christmas lights switch-on.
The audience gave a countdown for the switch-on, after which Ramsey Courthouse and its neighbouring historic buildings were immediately brightened up by hundreds of festive lights.
The lights reflected off Ramsey Town Band members tubas, cornets and trombones, who were performing.
Roc Vannin choir and Ukes of Mann also provided musical entertainment with their performances echoing through the streets.
Father Christmas made his grand entrance much to children’s delight and he soon made his way around to meet them face-to-face.
The younger members of the audience also enjoyed the other main features of this year’s event - a carousel and ferris wheel.
The popular event didn’t just stop there as shops were open late to help shoppers find the right gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
