The entrance of the Queen’s Pier in Ramsey will be lit up by a donated Christmas tree tomorrow (Saturday).

The special event has been organised by The Manx Wellbeing Centre, which is donating a Christmas tree to the Queen’s Pier Restoration Trust.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the switch-on at 4pm, where mince pies and stollen will be going around.

Samantha Galvin from the centre said: ’The Northern men’s choir is attending to sing carols with 26 gentlemen happy to be part of the event.

’My partner’s lovely 99-year-old nanna will be switching on the lights. Everyone will be welcome to attend.’
