The public are this week able to see how Kirk Michael is going to change in a display.

The village’s finalised traffic and footway scheme is available to view in the parish hall tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday from 11am till 4pm.

This scheme has been designed by the Department of Infrastrucutre following consultation meetings with both the public in the village and Michael Commissioners.

The scheme is designed to improve and work is due to start in the autumn.

The scheme features a number of changes including widened pavements, retention of on-street parking, speed indicator devices (smiley/sad faces), two 40mph buffer zones on the eastern and southern approaches, electric vehicle charging points, continuous footways, two zebra crossing, and surfacing treatment for footways.
