The first marriage to take place in Castletown Civic Centre - now registered for such occasions - was held recently when Jerry Ludford-Brooks married Margaret Bailey.

Jerry, who is a commissioner in town, said the hall is ’an ideal setting for both the wedding ceremony and reception as the kitchen is available with the hall’ and their 60 guests ’all approved of the venue’.
