Gym sessions in memory of Adrian Gilmour raised £2,410 for children affected with lower limb conditions.

The sessions took place on Saturday morning where 120 people paid tribute and raised funds for the STEPS charity.

Donna Whalley and Helen Sheen organised the three spin and step classes to remember Adrian who previously owned Carrefour gym in Douglas.

Adrian sadly passed away in 2013 and is ’sorely missed’ by family and friends.

His son and daughter, Ryan Gilmour and Libby Gilmour-Huber were also present on the day.

Donna explained that Adrian inspired her to become a fitness trainer when she was 13 years old.

She said: ’Adrian made huge differences to many people’s lives, both professionally through his classes and one-on-one clients, and personally for his many friends and family.

’Character-wise, Adrian always made an impression on people! His friendly, trustworthy, open and funny manner is etched into people’s memories.’

Donations on the day reached £1,410 before Barclay’s bank brought the overall total to £2,410.
