All flights in to and out of Ronaldsway airport have been cancelled as Storm Ciara batters the island.

Four coastal roads will be closed from 9pm tonight to 1.30pm tomorrow due to the risk of coastal overtopping.

They are Douglas promenades from Port Jack to Summerhill, Castletown Promenade and Douglas Street, Shore Road in Rushen and Laxey Promenade and Tent Road.

The DoI said the emergency road closures are timed to cover high tides and to allow for any clear-up of debris.

A fallen tree has blocked one carriageway of the Southern 100 course at Ballakaighan.
