There is flooding in a number of places in the island this morning.

Police have released these photos of Glen Road in Laxey.

The village is closed. No traffic can get through it now, including school buses.The Liverpool Arms Straight has also been closed from the top of the Whitebridge.Police are now reporting that the Mountain Road is closed due to a landslide and Laxey Village is 'impassable'.There is a lot of standing water on the Laxey to Ramsey coast road.The road at the Corony in Maughold is impassable and the Creg-ny-Baa Back Road is closed.Police say people should travel only if they have to.There is also standing water in the Rest and Be Thankful area on the coast road near Ramsey.Laxey and Dhoon primary schools will be closed all day today due to the flooding in the area according to the police.Police have now said about Laxey: 'We are dealing with a major incident in Laxey in relation to the severe flooding and persons trapped in houses. 'All 999 services are in attendance. If you are safe in your house please stay in.
