Outbreaks of rain at will die away by late morning leaving the rest of the day largely dry.

For most places it will remain cloudy, with a risk of coastal mist or fog for southern and eastern coasts, and the best of any bright or sunny spells for the north and west of the island.

The fresh to strong southerly wind will ease during the afternoon, with highs of 15°C.

Saturday will start dry but rather cloudy, with outbreaks of rain spreading from the south later in the afternoon or evening.
