Kirby Park Garden Centre in Douglas has issued a plea calling for people to return its shopping baskets.

The centre said it had started last week with more than 100 brand new, bright-red shopping baskets but now had only 15 left.

It said that if people had any of its baskets at home or unintentionally left in their cars, then they could be brought back and anonymously left in the car park.

Garden centres were permitted to reopen on April 6, with restrictions in place, as part of the easing of Covid restrictions.
