Manx Gas were this morning carrying out a mains renewal project to the Janet’s Corner network when supplies to around 60 properties in that area and Castletown promenade were interrupted.
Supplies have now been restored and an investigation will be carried out over the next few days and any action necessary to prevent a recurrence will be implemented.
’At no time were customers or members of the public exposed to any danger or risk and supplies were restored after three hours, quickly and safely,’ said Manx Gas director Robert Gardener.
As a precaution Manx Gas engineers will remain on site and within the area of Janet’s Corner.
Should anyone have any concerns or problems they should contact Manx Gas on Freephone 0808-162-4444, or direct on 644444, or speak to one of the Manx Gas engineers in the area.
