The story of a famous character from Manx folklore has been turned into a song by a UK folk group.

’Crake’, an alt-folk group from Leeds, released ’Gef’ earlier in September as a b-side on their single ’Enough Salt (For All Dogs)’ and is a haunting and creepy tale on the famous story of Gef the talking mongoose.

Singer Rowan Sandle learned of the story from her father, who grew up in the island.

The track can be heard on the Crake Bandcamp page and on YouTube.
