Psychedelic rock giants Primal Scream are to play in the Isle of Man later this year.
The Scottish rock band, fronted by Bobby Gillespie, pictured,are to perform at the Villa Marina in Douglas on Wednesday, July 19. They are touring in support of their album Chaosmosis and are being brought over the island by Triskel Promotions, who’s manager Lenny Conroy said that, while he has not done any shows for a while, he noticed a chance to get Primal Scream. ’I’ve been chasing them for around eight years,’ said Lenny. ’I’m delighted to finally get to bring them to the Villa.’ Support for the night will come from new electro rock group Call Me Amore, featuring local musicians Geoff Murphy and Harry Radford, who has played with a number of rock bands in the UK.
Tickets will go on sale through the Villa Gaiety box office at 10am on Saturday, March 18, priced £37.
