A 14-year-old girl has appeared in court charged with common assault and theft.
The teenager cannot be named due to her age.
She was represented in court by advocate James Peterson.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on July 19 and involve an alleged assault on her mother and the theft of a bottle of gin from Shoprite in Derby Road in Peel.
The case was adjourned for her to appear in juvenile court on a later date.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500.
