Expressions of interest are being sought for people or organisations to run a TT campsite on the government’s behalf .

The campsite would be on the grass in the middle of the NSC running track which is operated by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.

The successful tenderer will be required to book, operate and manage a high quality corporate camp site, providing all tents and bedding, for visitors to the Isle of Man TT, beginning with the TT Races in 2020.

The use of the campsite will be restricted by a licence agreement, containing details of the permitted use, licence periods and charges for the use of such campsite, granted to the successful tenderer.

The contract will initially be to run the campsite covering the Isle of Man TT Races in 2020.

There is also the potential, at the department’s discretion, for an extension of a further two years to include the TT in 2021 and 2022.

A previous agreement to run a campsite has been in place on the site, with the government receiving planning permission to operate the site in January 2014.

At that time, it was granted permission for ’temporary camping on grassed area within athletics track and shared use of adjacent facilities for 15 days each year ( with additional four days for set up and taking down) in connection with the TT.’

In 2014, the site was approved permission for 436 people in a mixture of two and four person tents.

Any interested parties are being invited to submit their expressions of interest via the online government portal before the deadline at 12pm on October 24.
