The island’s leading and, indeed, only hip hop collective will head the bill when a series of free local music showcase nights return to the Villa next month.

The bouncing, swaggering delights of Han-FX and Jor-DMC and the Innuendo Orchestra will perform at the latest Made In Mann night, held at the Promenade Suite, Villa Marina, on Friday, July 9.

Fresh from opening up the Port Erin beach stage last weekend, the group, led by artist, songwriter and potential MHK Han-FX and guitarist and beatboxer JOR DMC, are unveiling a raft of new songs and tunes.

Their set features music inspired by a range of influences and styles, including hip hop, reggae, funk, jazz and dub, and are backed by the big, funky brass sounds of the trumpets, trombones and saxophones of the Innuendo Orchestra.

After extensive touring and playing live which, over the past few years, have included spots at the Boomtown festival in the UK and also in Italy, the band have been working on a follow up to their first EP, ’Partners In Rhyme’, released in 2016.

The three-band line up will be completed by solo singer songwriter Keiran Ball and Terry George and the Long Tall Shakies.

This is a free event, with no tickets or prior booking required and is open to 16s and over. Doors open at 7.30pm.
