There are now 42 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 strain of the coronavirus in the island.
Following the announcement of five cases this morning, the government announced at 4pm that a further five tests have come back positive.
There are still two patients receiving treatment at Noble’s Hospital with the other 40 remaining in self-isolation at home.
The contact tracing process is already underway led by Public Health.
There have been 721 concluded tests and 232 tests awaiting results.
Earlier today Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford said that most tests were coming back within 72 hours, however others were taking longer.
Anyone awaiting a test result is instructed to remain isolating until theyr are contacted by health officials.
