Four hundred and nine new cases of coronavirus have been detected in the past 24 hours, bringing the total on island to 1,995.

This is up from yesterday’s 24 hour increase of 224, and total of 1,749.

However, there were two fewer people in hospital with the virus - a total now of eight.
