The total number of active cases in the island has surpassed 2,600.
Of these 2,612, 2,305 had been detected by lateral flow tests, and 307 by PCR tests.
Fifty-three of these positive PCR results were recorded in the past 24 hours.
And 328 positive LFT tests were recorded in the past 24 hours, though these may not all relate to new cases - as people take tests looking to leave isolation early by producing two negative tests.
This is compared to around 292 new cases reported in the 24 hours prior to yesterday (January 2) afternoon.
Seven people are in hospital, with none in intensive care.
