A Douglas clinic celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a number of events to thank the public for its support over the years.

Align 4 Life, in Lake Road, marked the milestone by providing magic shows, balloon twisting and face painting for children, plus talks and demonstrations for adults.

The event was free for people to attend with free massage tasters being available, spinal screenings and postural analysis on the day.

Health talks included: ’Boost Your Immune System in 21 days’ with Dr Neil Thompson; an organic skin-care talk by Rose Thompson; ’Beating Anxiety’ and ’Overcoming Family/Teenage Issues’ by Thamar Rooken-Smith.

Demonstrations also included physio exercises and stretches and a seated massage.

The centre, which primarily focuses on spinal and posture correction, began as a two-man team by Dr Thompson.

The team has grown since then and now consists of practitioners that include two chiropracttors, a physiotherapist and pilates instructor; a counsellor and a massage and beauty therapist and other experts.

A spokesman said: ’We are very excited and look forward to transforming many more lives, equipping many more families and helping revolutionise health care.’
