A total of 49 people have tested positive for Covid-19, an increase of three since this morning.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford confirmed the total this afternoon where he revealed that 1,061 tests have been taken in the island, with 885 of those returned.
That leaves 236 people awaiting results with 109 samples due to be sent away today.
Mr Ashford added that two people remain in hospital and one of those is now in the Intensive Care Unit.
However, he said that person was ’stable and slowly recovering’.
The Minister also noted that most positive results in the island are coming from people aged between 19 and 35, dispelling the idea that Covid-19 only affects the elderly.
