Six people remain in Noble’s Hospital with Covid-19.
This is the same figure as on Thursday, with one patient remaining in ICU with the virus.
The latest government statistics revealed there have been 46 new cases since its previous update, meaning the total number of active cases in the island is 424.
The government’s second weekly public health surveillance report, which was released yesterday (Thursday), concluded: ’the current overall trend of confirmed cases is decreasing.’
It’s other main conclusions were:
* The current seven-day average for confirmed positive cases is around 64.
* Most recent seven-day daily average test positivity rate is 12.8%.
* The percentage of PCR tests from the LFD (lateral flow) pathway is decreasing with percentage of UK arrival tests slightly increasing over the last two weeks.
* 67% of positive PCR tests are from the LFD pathway.
* Over the last seven days most confirmed positive cases have been in the 10-14 and 15-19 years old age bands, 96% of cases in these age bands are unvaccinated.
