Bosses at the Western Swimming Pool at Peel have decided to close because ’some staff’ were at locations pinpointed in the Covid-19 alert.

The pool put this announcement out today: ’Following the government announcement over the last few days, we have been advised that some of our staff were present in the locations announced in the Government press release.

’Staff members have contacted 111 for advice and are following the advice that has been issued to them.

’The Western Swimming Pool has made the decision to shut, we will take advice from all relevant parties before deciding on when to re-open.

’This is not the start we wanted for 2021 but in the effort to keep the IoM a safe we feel this is appropriate steps to take at this time.
