The government has spent about £373,500 on its vaccination hubs.

This figure was revealed in Tynwald’s written answers this week, when Health Minister David Ashford MHK answered a question put to him by Kate Lord Brennan MLC.

She asked: ’What the cost of establishing the vaccine hubs at the airport and Chester Street are - and how many people have been vaccinated at each?’

Mr Ashford replied: ’The department currently cannot provide a full answer to the question of the costs of establishing the vaccination hubs as all of the final costs have not, as yet been established.

’The current estimated costs for the establishment of the airport, Ward 20 and Chester Street hubs is £373,500 for the construction and outfit of the hubs.’

He added: ’This does not include staffing costs for the operation of the hubs which always take time to come through before they can be reported.’
