Heavy rain and strong winds are forecast tonight.

The Met Office forecast for Monday: ‘Sunny intervals at first, then turning cloudy with rain from late afternoon as the wind settles easterly and strengthens. Temperatures up to 16 Celsius.

‘Wet this evening and overnight, the rain heavy at times, with the risk of localised flooding where drains are blocked.

‘Strong northeast winds with gusts of around 50 mph with lots of falling leaves and some debris and some waves washing onto exposed promenades during the early hours of the morning.’
