Hospice Isle of Man’s popular Christmas tree recycling service is returning for 2022.

The service is run by Hospice alongside the Isle of Man Post Office, Tels Ltd. and Ballaneven Compost.

It proves popular year on year and is returning for the festive season once again.

During last year’s initiative, 635 trees were collected and shredded to be used as compost - raising £9,000 in the process.

In social media posts, Hospice said: ’Our ever popular Christmas Tree Recycling Service is back for 2022!

’There’s no need to struggle with disposing of your tree this year.

’We, along with the wonderful team at Isle of Man Post Office, Tel’s Ltd and Ballaneven Compost Ltd have brought back our award-winning service to help.’

If you would like to use the service, you must register before midday on Tuesday, January 4 at www.hospice.org.im/christmastreerecycle to have your tree collected over the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday, January 9 2022.

Please note your tree will need to be left outside your house prior to 6am on Saturday, January 8.

There is a suggested donation of £15 per tree.

All money raised goes straight to supporting Hospice Isle of Man.
