A number of housing maintenance projects are planned by Ramsey Commissioners.
They include the external redecoration of the entire Lezayre Estate, which is now 10 years old.
This will be carried out, in-house by the commissioners’ workforce, over the next three financial years, as the budget allows, at a cost of approximately £1,785 per property.
It is also planned to refurbish seven of the houses in Upper Queen’s Pier Road, originally built in 1936.
The project will cost in the region of £300,000.
New kitchens and heating boilers are envisaged for all 18 units at Close y Chibbyr Ghlass, which was constructed in 2003.
Cost estimates are currently being prepared.
External refurbishment of Cronk Elfin properties is estimated to cost in the region of £1.5 million, which would be funded from the commissioners’ capital funded planned maintenance programme.
