The public toilets at Port Erin’s Station Road car park are being refurbished and those in Athol Park have been demolished.

Refurbishment will include the addition of power and lighting, replacement sanitary ware and improved access to the disabled toilets.

Port Erin Commissioners chairman Nick Watterson said: ’The board is pleased to be in a position to be able to implement these improvements to the facilities in Station Road car park, which are well used by coach visitors to Port Erin.’

He said the toilets at Athol Park were ’only a stone’s throw from the Station Road facilities’ and said that demolishing them would provide ’additional space within the play area.’
