Jana Belinda Storey, a 26-year-old retail supervisor, was found at her home, on Falcon Street Lane in Douglas, on September 26.
Attempts to resuscitate Miss Storey, who was born in Oxford, were unsuccessful, and she was declared dead at the casualty department at Noble’s Hospital.
A preliminary report suggested she died as a result of hanging . Her identity was formally confirmed by her mother.
Offering condolences, Mr Needham adjourned the proceedings which will resume once all enquiries have been completed.
Meanwhile, friends of Miss Storey and musicians, have organised a special fund-raising concert in her memory.
Her friend, Michael Cowley, told last week’s Manx independent the idea was to celebrate her life and raise some money for her family as well as generating donations for a Justgiving page supporting the Samaritans.
He said the death had left many people heartbroken.
’Jana was a much loved and bright person who never had a bad word to say about anyone,’ he said.
The concert is at the Basement Bar on Wellington Street in Douglas on Saturday, October 26.
The Justgiving account can be accessed via a link from the social media site Facebook’s page, Celebration of the life of Jana NaNa Storey.
