The inquest into the death of George Alexander Jamie MacLaren has been opened and adjourned by Coroner of Inquests Janyne Hughes.

Mrs Hughes opened the inquest into the death of Mr MacLaren, of Viking Road, Willaston, who died on May 27 at a family member’s home in Hacket Close, Onchan.

The inquest, held at Douglas courthouse last week, heard that the painter and decorator was 43 at the time of his death. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Mrs Hughes extended her condolences to Mr MacLaren’s family and friends and she adjourned the hearing to a date yet to be determined.
