An inquest opened this week into the death of a man from Scotland whose body was found at Snugborough Trading Estate.

The body of James Graham McLean, an unemployed 29-year-old from Borrowstounness, near Falkirk, was discovered near the old railway line in Union Mills on June 10.

Coroner John Needham announced at Douglas courthouse on Tuesday that the cause of death was ’asphyxia due to hanging’.

The death was said to be ’not suspicious’ and did not involve a third party.

Mr Needham asked for his condolences to be passed on to family members who did not attend the opening before adjourning the inquest to a date to be fixed.
