Tynwald has shown unanimous support for a motion to support Ukrainian sovereignty, democracy and independence.

The court was asked to show commitment to fully supporting international sanctions against Russia and the protection of refugees as well as to condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine and support its territorial integrity.
Deputy Chief Minister Jane Poole-Wilson, who was standing in for Chief Minister Alfred Cannan, told Tynwald that the ‘overwhelming support’ for the motion had been clear in the sitting.
