Danny Roberts is 28 and lives in Peel.

He is a professional boxer and was nominated as sportsman of the year for the 2018 Isle of Man Sports Awards.

Recently, Danny undertook an extreme endurance challenge, where he attempted to run the height of Mount Everest, 8,483 metres, by running up to the summit of Snaefell from Laxey beach 14 times.

Danny was raising money for two charities, Huntington’s Disease Isle of Man and the mental health charity REACH IOM.

Although he didn’t reach his target, he still managed to complete nine laps, making a total distance of 5,580 metres and raising more than £7,000, far above his original total of £5,000.
