Steven Nash is 39 and lives in Douglas with his wife Angela and their two cats.

He works as a senior store man for the Department of Infrastructure.

Steven is also a well-known and popular musician on the island and, last week, he released his second album, ’In the Distance I see Light’, featuring eight original tracks, on the Small Bear record label.

He also plays bass guitar for the local rock group Maldune.

What is your idea of a perfect meal?

It would be anything involving pasta and garlic bread in a posh restaurant looking over a big lake, the sun shining and a large glass of red wine.

What is your favourite way to relax?

It is generally just listening to music.

What is your greatest extravagance?

None really. I like the simple things in life.

Do you have any pets?

I’ve got two cats, called Mork and Mindy.

What is your greatest achievement?

It has to be this interview! Seriously though, I’ve no idea. I don’t really put things I do on a pedestal.

What is your favourite time of the year?

Around the autumn, when the trees start losing their clothes.

What is the first job you ever had?

I worked at the Bray Hill Petrol Station. I think I was 15.

Do you have any irrational fears?

The idea of being buried alive terrifies me.

What is your worst habit?

Smoking.

What is your favourite book?

I don’t really read books but I tend to find any of the Nostradamus translations a good read.

What is your favourite TV programme?

Only Fools & Horses.

What is your favourite band/artist at the moment?

Tom Walker.

What is your favourite part of the Isle of Man?

The area around the West Baldwin valley and Injebreck reservoir

What is the last show/band that you saw live?

The last big band I saw wasGuns N’ Roses in London. As for local groups, the last one I saw was Dusty Plankton in Quids Inn, on Douglas promenade.

If time/money were no object, what would be your perfect day?

It would start with an early morning coffee with poached eggs on toast, a stroll around Injebreck reservoir. That would be followed by a picnic in the countryside followed by a gig in front of a load of strangers.

Bob Dylan, Michel de Nostredame (better known to you and me as Nostradamus) and the actor Tom Hanks

Neither, but if I had to choose it would be Harry Potter.
