Ben Birchall and new passenger Kevin Rousseau will not take to the start-line in this afternoon’s Sidecar race.

The pair were a doubt after a mechanical issue caused them to crash at the Mountain Box in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session.

An update posted on the Birchall Racing Faecbook page said: ‘Following yesterday's incident, we're unfortunately not taking part in the first race today.

‘The boys are recovering well and will get themselves and the bike ready for Wednesday.’
