Cloudy with a belt of heavy rain will soon arriving, the rain then clearing around late morning to leave dry and sunny conditions for a time, before another band of heavy rain sweeps in around dusk. Fresh to strong southwest winds, the maximum temperature 9 Celsius.
Rain this evening, this then quickly clearing away overnight as the winds settle westerly and increase to gale or severe gale force. Gusts are possible of 60 to 70 mph with some disruption and structural damage.
The winds will stay gale force in many places on Wednesday, with otherwise a mixture of sunshine and scattered blustery showers.
