A top UK comedian has confirmed he will be travelling to the island later this year for a long-awaited and much-delayed concert.
TV and radio personality Jack Dee is all set to appear at the Gaiety Theatre on Saturday, October 23.
Having been forced to cancel his latest comedy tour, ’Jack Dee - Off the Telly’, during the Covid restrictions last year, he is hoping to get back on the road this year, and has his sights set on an island date this autumn.
Having been given the go-ahead to resume touring again, Jack will hit the road around the beginning of September.
Famed for his grumpy demeanour and his dour, withering outlook on most things, Jack feels that he is the perfect person around to bring an air of happiness and positivity to the people of the British isles, after struggling through 18 long and depressing months of lockdowns, restrictions and uncertainty.
’In these difficult and uncertain times, people need hope and a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. And that’s where I come in,’ said Jack.
He is well known for appearing in a host of TV panel shows, including ’Vic and Bob’s Shooting Stars’ and ’ Would I Lie to You’.
Jack also hosts the Radio 4 show ’I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue’.
Tickets are £23.50, available from the Welcome Centre and the Villa Gaiety box office, on 600555, and online from villagaiety.com
