Jill Kelly has been recognised for her long service with the Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA).
Mrs Kelly was presented with the Sir James Gildea Award in a presentation that took place at Government House.
She has been a volunteer caseworker for SSAFA for nearly 25 years.
The presentation was attended by Douglas councillor and SSAFA Isle of Man branch secretary Karen Angela, Major Charles Wilson, SSAFA chairman Malcolm Guild, Hector Duff and SSAFA president Brigadier Norman Butler.
The charity provides lifelong support to those who are serving or have served in the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines or the Royal Air Force, and to their families.
The award is named after Colonel Gildea, who founded the charity in 1885.
