A local blues musician is hoping to finally bring his show to the stage next month.

’Blue’ John Gregory is to host his third AcousticMann concert at the Peel Centenary Centre on Saturday, May 8, from 7.30pm.

The show, featuring blues guitarist John playing alongside fellow local guitarists and singers Babs Killey, Adrian Cowin, Peter Corkill and Chris Killey, has already been thwarted twice before by this year’s two lockdowns and he his hoping the new date next month will be third time lucky.

The concert will be similar to two shows he has hosted before, featuring a similar lineup, at the Laxey Institute and the Erin Arts Centre, held towards the end of last year.

Tickets are priced at £10, available from when the shops finally re-open at Celtic Gold in Peel, Shakti Mann in Ramsey, Thompson Travel in Port Erin and Corletts the jewellers in Douglas.

They will also be available from etickets.im/bjm

John will also be celebrating his birthday with another concert towards the end of June.

’Blue John’s Birthday bash’ takes place at the Laxey Working Men’s Institute on Saturday, June 26 from 7.30pm.

John will be joined by another line up of talented local acoustic players, this time fellow bluesman Terry Howarth and indie, rock singer Callum Brew to help John celebrate.

Tickets for the birthday bash concert are £7, available online from etickets.im/bjm
