The Isle of Man Junior Triathlon takes place on Saturday week, April 21 at the National Sports Centre.

All abilities from the age of eight to 14 years are catered for and distances will be age related.

It will begin with a swim in the NSC’s 25-metre pool, followed by a multi-lap cycle round the perimeter roadway used for the RL360 Youth League, and a run on the 400-metre track in the centre.

Registration on the day will be from 8.15 to 8.45am at the rear of the NSC’s main building, for a 9.30 start. It will cost £15 for each individual, go to www.manxtriclub.com for more information.

triathlon festival weekend

Entries are still being taken for the Microgaming Triathlon Festival Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 12-13, but close on April 22.

The solo event is on the Saturday and the team event on the Sunday, both over a sprint distance starting from Ramsey Swimming Pool at 9am each day.

The 750-metre swim will be followed by a 20km cycle in the Bride, Andreas, Ramsey area, followed by a 5km run round Mooragh Park and promenade.
