The deadline to enter year’s Sulby Horticultural Show is looming.

Those who would like to enter a class should do so no later than 9pm on Thursday (August 1).

The exhibits at the Lezayre Parish Community Hall will include: craftwork; jewellery; soft handicrafts; wines; beers; paintings; photography; floral art; flowers; pot plants; fruit; vegetables; honey; preserves; confectionery; with this year’s bake-off class being the sticky top cake.

Junior classes are included as well as a decorated welly class.

Admission is £1 at the door. The event is free for children. Homemade cakes and refreshments will be available, a treasure hunt will be on for younger visitors where a prizewinner will be announced.

The main prize for the raffle is a travel voucher for a car plus two, donated by the Steam Packet.

This year’s show is to be opened by Clare Christian OBE, a vice captain of the show and the Captain of Maughold Parish from 1.30pm on August 3.
