As part of Dementia Awareness Week Ramsey Commissioners will support Alzheimer’s Society Isle of Man by hosting a Dementia Friends information session on Thursday. May 18.

This session will start at 10am in the boardroom at the town hall and will be followed at 11am by a performance from the Cummal Mooar Singing for the Brain Group.

Dementia Friends information sessions are run by volunteer Dementia Friends Champions, who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society.

Each information session lasts around one hour.

The session this Thursday is open to all to attend and the commissioners would particularly welcome people who work in public services and businesses, including retail, officer, commercial and hospitality.
