The team at Curraghs Wildlife Park have had to put down their only red-fronted (brown) lemur.
Born in the UK, Yoga came to the park in 1996.
The park stated that although he did have a partner for a number of years, latterly he spent his time with the ring-tailed lemurs.
At 26 years old, he had been unwell for several days, and was put under anaesthetic when it was discovered he had a large tumour.
The park said: ’Considering his age along with his general worsening condition it was time to call it a day and prevent any further suffering.
’We are going to miss his little quiet pose and presence in the lemur enclosure.’
