Five members of staff from life assurance company Zurich took place in the ’Mild Obstacle Course of Peril’, raising £1,003.91 for Sports Relief.
Competitors were selected by employee votes, with the top five taking part in the race.
The course was a twist on well-known sports day events and had participants competing in various activities such as fancy dress over hurdles, hula hooping, apple bobbing, moving a water balloon with their knees, blowing up a glitter filled balloon until it burst, and many more.
Every month, Zurich donates funds from its ’casual clothes Friday’ collection to a nominated charity, the total of which is matched by the charity committee.
This month, the committee donated the March collection to Sports Relief, so in addition to the £1,003.91 raised in the Mild Obstacle Course of Peril, the charity will receive the funds from the dress-down day.
