A promising Manx singer songwriter is set to release a number of singles and professionally-made music videos, before a release of a full EP.

Mae Challis, backed by her group the Dirty legends, featuring Mark Brabbs on drums, guitarist Nell Kneale and Robbie Sampson on bass, released her latest single, ’Bad In Me’.

The pulsing hard-rock tune, written by Mae when she was 18, is a song that recounts Mae’s trials and tribulations as a teenager and is accompanied by a live band performance video.

More songs will come out later this year.

Shortly before the lockdowns, Mae had been recording in London with the top production duo Goldfinger.

One of the songs from those sessions, ’Riot’, will also be released shortly.

’I’m so happy that we as an island are back to our "new normal" so that we and all the other incredible Manx bands can gig more and more,’ said Mae.

’We’re already busy and I just hope we can only get busier.’

Mae’s next project is to film a video for her song ’More of You’ at the Blind Badger Speakeasy bar in Castletown on Sunday, June 13, from 2pm.

She is asking for as many people as possible to come down and form a crowd and all are welcome.
